Our top tips to hosting a virtual baby shower

You had it all planned, whether you were planning a baby shower for your best friend, a relative or perhaps your own baby shower.  It was all perfect and planned how you where going to do everything... And then there is a UK LOCKDOWN and everthng is left in question.  Not to worry, the global pandemic and a little social distancing doesn't  mean the baby shower cannot happen, you'll just have to reach for Plan B - The virtual ZOOM baby shower.  We've gathered all the key information so you can still party at home in 5 easy steps

Step 1 - Create Your Guest List & Invites

Before you start planning any other elements of your shower, You'll need to consider your guest list and how many people you wish to invite (Virtually of course).  When it comes to sending the invitations, you can send them VIA Email or if you want to Keep it Simple or are short on time then set up a Facebook event and invite everyone to the group

Step 2 - Sort Out Which Virtually Platform You Are Going To Use

There are plenty of platforms that allow you to connect to your friends via video call, our favourites include, Zoom, Skype, Face-time (supported by Iphones only) and Google hangouts.  All super easy to set up and will work on either your phone, laptop tablets or smart TV.  For more advice on video calls, Click the Image Below.

Step 3 - Send Her Some Goodies!

Try to make it as personal as possible so it feels as close to the real event as possible, why not send her a little package of baby shower goodies to enjoy a few days before the virtual shower so they can hang all the decorations up.  It'll make the Mummy and Daddy to be feel special knowing everyone is thinking of her.

Step 4 - Make Sure She Doesn't Miss Out

Step 5 - Play Some Baby Shower Games

The key to any baby shower is the games! They're definitely the best part and one element that definitely shouldn't be disregarded just because of a little social distancing.  Games such as the number of jellybeans in the jar, or maybe try out our 'How BIG is your Bump' why not take it in turns to play 'Guest the price' One guest can hold up a baby item and the other guests have to take a guess at what the price of that item is.  And my favourite is Baby Shower Bingo, everyone fills in their blank Bingo cards with the presents they think the mummy-to-be will get.  Whoever calls "BINGO" first, wins.
